Immigration New Zealand provides visitor visa to facilitate the movement of visitors to New Zealand while minimising the risks to New Zealand. The aim is to foster tourism, trade and commerce, international understanding and cross-cultural links, and educational and scientific activities. However, before granting a visitor visa Immigration New Zealand would like to confirm that the applicant shall not be a concern in:
- Maintaining the health, safety and good order of New Zealand society; and
- Protecting New Zealand from international crime, terrorism and illegal immigration.
The applicants are required to provide evidence to substantiate their lawful purpose. The duration of visa depends on your plans and can be up to 9 months.
